New to FACTIONS, looking for insight.
Hey forum ppl!
My backordered Factions will be arriving this week sometime (hopefully TODAY) Im very excited to start playing again. I havent played GW since November...
I logged 700 hours, beat the game (mostly) with a Mez & War
I am currently trying to get my lvl 17 N/E to lvl 20 before Factions Arrives.
Here is my questions:
1.Warrior secondary- How have you found a W/Rt? I use Hammer Mastery, and Im sick of being just another w/mo. I heard RTs can buff their weapons... (I have thorgalls stone smasher, and the Bludgeoner right now)
2.Assassin: Crit/Dagger/Beast Master?
I know someone out there had this same idea- im wondering how it works for you? Are there any differences in the Pets now? Maybe this build is too one sided to work- its been so long since i thought about a lot of skills n such.
3. Ritualist : Please list secondary classes and the attributes you use, if applicable.
THANKS COMMUNITY!

Warrior weapons are good enough as they stand. Most solid warrior builds spec very little, if any, attribute points into their secondary class (the major exception being a TF warrior), since weapon mastery is always maxed and both tactics and strength are fundamental. I have seen a W/Rt or two with a hard res (ie, Flesh of my Flesh) in high-end gvg play, but that's probably nothing you are concerned with.
I know that nobody is doing it, and that always means it is bad.

Mesmer seems to be the favorite, with the e-management and the thousand other uses of a mesmer. But I wouldn't rule out a rt/mo for prots (eg, draw conditions, aegis) or a rt/n. rt/w, rt/a, and rt/r seem like highly specialized roles.

Is this meant for PvP or PvE? If you are asking about PvE, can it please be moved to the correct section?
1) For PvP, W/E and W/A seem to be the most popular in high end GvG. Shock still seems to reign supreme; Shadow stepping is quite powerful for the difficulty it makes in predicting an adrenal spike. Rt weapon spells are generally higher energy, and better cast by a ritualist on you than on yoursef.
2) I second Byron. Nobody has used it. What synergy exactly were you planning on building upon?
3) Rt/Me seems to be the most common in PvP. Rt/Mo isn't unheard of as both professions tend to be defensive by nature. I've not really noticed any others played a lot where I noticed the secondary mattering.

oh sorry, im definately talking PVP - even with my guild absent, I do random arenas for hours on end.
Its a good point you bring up about the FleshofmyFlesh spell... i forgot that Rt's have healing powers... I was reading the skills, and although i heard rumors that the Rit Empowered Weapons or whatever were good, but I didnt think they sounded too hot myself...
I agree, mesmer is versatile! My first character was mesmer, and I swear by fast casting!
People hate beast mastery... everyone assumes its so bad... Ill prove them all wrong, since Ill be the only one to do it apparently My other thought was Assassin/IceEle with ice prison or something... seems like an evil combo, but like Im saying ive not played in like 8 months now...
THANKS FOR YOUR REPLIES!! SEE YOU IN THE ARENA!!
